The electronic truck scale uses the principle of strain electric measurement to weigh. A strain gauge is pasted on the elastic body of the load cell to form a Wheatstone bridge. At no load, the bridge is in equilibrium and the output is zero. When the elastic body bears the load, the strain gauges produce a strain proportional to the load, and the external load can be measured by the output voltage.

Truck scale, commonly known as weighbridge, has two kinds of analog and digital, is the main weighing equipment for bulk cargo measurement.

Before the 1980 s, the common truck scale was generally a mechanical truck scale constructed purely mechanically using the principle of leverage, also known as a mechanical floor scale. In the mid-1980s, with the maturity of high-precision weighing sensor technology, mechanical weighbridge was gradually replaced by electronic truck scale with high precision, good stability and convenient operation.

The weighbridge is connected to the computer and the weighing list is printed, which is a brand-new management method at present. The weighing management system is composed of computer, printer, instrument and weighbridge software.
